Week 16: It's all about His love

Good day, Mdm!

Last week, we talked about the significance of Holy Communion, partaking the bread in a worthy manner. We also looked into the scriptures in detail and know that eating the bread has to do with our healing, health and wellness. With that, we are much pretty done with this sharing which has to do with the topic on "healing". I would encourage you to do this as often as you can. Also, do keep listening to the sermons on healing or read the books/scriptures pertaining to healing. Faith is very important when you are partaking the elements. By listening to the Word of God, it will help you to build up your faith.

Believe has two sides of a coin - faith & fear. If you have faith (a form of believe in the spiritual) that eating the bread will make you wholesome, it will. Likewise, if you fear (a form of believe in the natural) that eating the bread will make you gain weight, it will. Therefore, believing right is important for us to live right. Amen!

Ok, for this period of time... I believe everyone will be busy shopping, travelling, partying, I'll be sharing for the last time for this year. We'll resume beginning next year. With Christmas round the corner, let's just focus on the significance of this celebration.

We all know that when we celebrate Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Christ. His birth is part of God's plan to redeem the world from the curse of sin. And we know that God has this plan because in John 3:16, it says:" "For God so loved the world.... "

Without a doubt, God love us... to the extend of sacrificing His Son! How do you feel when you first hear this? Do you feel loved? To be honest, I don't. Because I cannot relate how God, by sacrificing his Son, love me???

It is very much like a stranger come to you and say that he love you. Very difficult to understand nor relate. So you might ask the stranger:" What do you love about me? What is the reason?" Let say for example, the stranger start to reveal his identity as your father and begin to tell you the touching story why you are abandoned and seek your forgiveness.... (Sounds like a typical drama, isn't it?) Probably, by then, you might feel for his love towards you, isn't it?

Likewise, in order for us to understand God's love, we need to find out more about Him and the reason why He love us.... Where can we find the answer? The bible, of course.

In Gen 1:26-28

" Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[b] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them...."

Clearly, we are created by God. Not only did God blessed man after the creation, He gave man authority over all others of His creation! Note that if you read the previous verses, God created other creatures as well but none of them were given the authority over the earth. If the creator of this universe God want man to take ownership over the earth, we do mean something to Him, isn't it?

What happen next? Man fell, sin entered into this world when Adam disobeyed God's instruction not to take of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
When sin enter this world, ageing, deterioration, sickness, death become part and parcel of human life. And it gotten worse.

Gen 6:5-7"Then the Lord[b] saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

Man became evil and God grieved in His heart. Have you ever grieved over someone? Isn't it true that you will grief over someone because you love that person? This is exactly how God felt...He was on the verge to destroy the entire evil mankind, yet He did not. The following verse says" Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." Subsequently, God made a convenant with Noah that there will never be another flood to destroy the earth.

Now, when God made a promise, He cannot reverse it... Yet, the sin on earth has not been fully dealt with... What to do? God cannot send another flood to destroy mankind because of His convenant with Noah.

The problem then was God is a just God; If a sinner is not punished because God become soften on sin, then God is no longer a just God. Yet, God love His creation, man. What a dilemma..... (Fast Forward...) That's why Jesus came into the picture. Just like any other sacrificial lamb (which blood were used to cover the sins of the sinner), His blood was required to redeem every man on this earth of their sins.

When we are saved, our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus, we became righteous in the eyes of God. Therefore, God cannot punish us for our sins because Jesus had already bored the sins of all mankind 2000 years ago and was punished once and for all. God cannot punish the same sin twice.  What a plan!

Only when we understand our God, then can we understand His love for us. The reverse is true. Without knowing how much He love us, our eyes will continue to set upon the things of this world.... Have a look at these video clips:

With this, I know everyone will be busy celebrating during this festive seasons, I leave you with this verse...

2 Cor 13:11 (NIV)

11 Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

And also, take a peek of the upcoming movie:

Finally finally, I leave you with this "million dollar chicken" video by Chef John... I thought you might need this just in case you need to cook up an "expensive" dish for your friends...

Wishing all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

P.S. There is a reason why those breads are underneath the chicken... Don't forget to take your holy communion! :P

Week 15: Bread Talk

Good day to you, Mdm!

Wow.. yet another year has come and will be gone soon.. I hope your year has been fulfilling.. both outside as well as inside.. It has been a great year for me.. Though I had a rough start, I'm glad it is going to end well. Praise the Lord!

Last week, we talked about meditating on God's Word and the goodness His Word could bring forth in terms of healing, health, wholeness, peace and completeness. I believe by now you have fully understand what meditating God's Word is all about- slowly "chewing" and digesting each and every word until all the "nutrients" are fully absorbed into your body!

Now, as mentioned last week, this week we will take a closer look at "Holy Communion". This is important... Why?? Because there is a provision given to all of us as children of God. It is free and yet not cheap?? because Jesus has paid for it at the cross! And until we understand it, it will be left unclaimed!

Many of us are aware that by drinking the wine, we are believing that that's the blood of Christ was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. Even the bible states that very clearly. However, when partaking the bread, there hasn't been a clear explanation of its purpose. Some believe taking both bread & wine together are mean for the forgiveness of sins. So, are these two elements for different purposes or for the same reason which is the forgiveness of sins??

When Paul wrote to the Corinthians about the conduct of Lord's supper, he was pretty upset about the way they partook the communion. And then he went on to say in 1Cor 11:30 " 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep."

Note the sequence of order - weak , sick & many sleep (which means die at young age). He was talking of physical conditions of these Corinthians. Apparently, they were not looking good. And notice Paul said "For this reason" - in other words, there is only one (singular) reason why they were in such condition. What was it? Let's take a look at the context to understand what he was saying.

1 Cor 11:27-30

27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood[d] of the Lord.

28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner[e] eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s[f] body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep."

The Last Supper: Bread & wine representing the body & blood of Christ

Paul stressed the importance of eating the bread and drinking the wine in a worthy manner. What is considered a worthy manner? Look at verse 29 "not discerning the Lord's body. For this reason......"

In other words, many are weak, sick and die young because they are NOT taking the holy communion in a proper manner! The bread represents the body of Christ. That's why Jesus said He is the bread of life. And in the Lord's prayer, we are taught to say " give us our daily "bread"!

Make no mistake about it .. Partaking the bread has to do with healing our body! The bible says "We are one body of Christ!" By taking the bread, we reckon to be part of Christ's body. If God want us to be part of Christ in a body, would you think that He wants this body to be weak, sick and die young???

Remember, the Law of First mention... The "law of first-mention" is the principle in the interpretation of Scripture which states that the first mention or occurrence of a subject in Scripture establishes an unchangeable pattern, with that subject remaining unchanged in the mind of God throughout Scripture.

Ever wonder when the word "bread" was first mentioned in the bible and what revelation it gives??
It was first mention in Gen 3:19 "In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread "

Interesting, eating bread has something to do with us sweating. Some interpret this verse as "you got to work hard (sweat) in order to earn your meal (bread)."
When you look up the meaning of the word "sweat" ... it also mean worry, anxiety, lose sleep, agonise, fuss, panic, agitation.

I would classify these "worry, anxiety, lose sleep, agonise, fuss, panic, agitation" as "weak". "Weak" always come before "sick". In the modern medical science, it has been proven that the root of major illness & sickness (SICK) has to do with worry, fear and stress (WEAK)! (You've heard the sermon on "The root of your problem is condemnation", you know what I am saying).

Are you seeing the love of God now? Imagine, since the fall of Adam and the curse of sin enter into this world, it is already in His mind to provide a way out for us!

If this is not enough, look at what Jesus did after He rose from the dead... He followed a couple back to Emmaus... (you know the story).. He broke bread for them before He disappeared in front of them. Before He went to the cross, He broke bread for His disciples, after He rose from the dead, the first he did was to break bread for this couple.  What does that tell you?

He want to tell us that breaking bread is more than just remembering Him, it is about remembering what He has done for us at the cross! And when we partake the bread with sickness in our body, we can boldly say to this sickness that it does not belong here because Jesus has already paid for it and taken it to the cross. Hallelujah!

Now, when you meditate these verses like John 14:27 & Proverbs 4:22. Do they make sense to you now?

And the word "peace" in Hebrew is "Shalom" which means "peace, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, health!" Praise the Lord!

I hope you're blessed by this sharing. Sorry for being lengthy this week coz this is important. If Jesus can spent almost 3/4 of His ministry in healing, how much more do you think He want us to be in good health as children of God? Amen!

Smith Wigglesworth (a plumber) had raised more than 10 dead people during his ministry and those miracles were recorded. He took holy communion everyday. With this, I urge that you will practise holy communion as and when possible (DO NOT make it a ritual but do it in a worthy manner).

Week 14: More on God's Word

Good Day Mdm!

Last week we've mentioned about meditating on God's Word and the healing it can bring forth to our body (not just spirtual health). In essence, the bible is like a medicine. Of course, we do not despise doctors. We do believe in medicine and doctors for they are on our side, fighting the same enemy! But as much as there are natural means to restore our physical health, we believe our God has also provide the means to restore us from this fallen condition of this world, Amen?

Be warned though, God's Word do have side-effect... It will rejuvernate you and make you look younger! Go to Genesis 20 and read the story of Abimelech & Abraham. King Abimelech wanted Sarah for his harem only to find out (through God) that she was Abraham's wife.... Wait a minute, before chapter 20, in chapter 17 verse 17, it was mentioned Sarah's age was 90 years old! Think for a moment... Why would a King of all the women he can have, want Sarah (old as mentioned in Gen 18:11) for his harem??? Why would Abraham need to lie to the King about his wife???  The bible says that Abimelech took Sarah into his harem when Abraham said she was his sister. Do you think at that moment Sarah was physically attractive or spiritually attractive in the eyes of King Abimelech?

Actually, this week I would like to share more on the Holy Communion. I can't stress more how important this topic is... The more I listen to the sermon and look into the Word, the more I am convinced Holy Communion is one of the greatest gift from our Lord Jesus. Having said that, I'm going to KIV this sharing until next week. This is because I've just come across these videos relating to God's Word and I believe it is going to bless you.

Remember Proverbs 4:22

"22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh."

Enjoy and be blessed by these sermons!

Week 13: Be Thankful

Good day, Mdm!

Hope you are having a great time in Japan! Imagining myself waking up in the morning, next to Mt Fuji and taking a deep fresh air, staring in awe at the gorgious scenery has already made me feel so afresh and relax...

Yes, I embrace "rest", "relax" & "refresh".... We mentioned last week that "healing" & "health" in Hebrew come from the root word "raphah" which mean "relax". Even a non-believer would say:"Relax, take it easy!" when he see someone in anger.... How much more we, as Christian where the foundation truth goes all the way back few thousand years ago, should embrace the state of being "relax" (not laziness though).

Proverbs 14:30(Amplified)

"30 A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones."

How do we have a calm & undisturbed mind and heart?? Last week, we talked about meditating on God's Word...

Proverbs 4:20-22(Amplified)

"20 My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings.21 Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart.22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh."

God's Word has the effect of healing our body (with no side-effect, of course)! But, we say that not all of God's Word is beneficial to us, we need to find them. The thing is this, since the fall of man at the garden of Eden, we are all subjected to the curse (death, aging, body deteriorate) whether we like it or not. God has thus provided the remedies. One of which is the Word!

John 10:10

"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

Jesus says that He is the way, the truth and the life! Therefore, in order to have the effect of healing/healthy body, our focus must be in Jesus and Jesus only... as well as His finished work.. (which is in line with the word "healing" in Hebrew "rapha" - "think, speak of sacrifice") By the way,are you seeing the beauty of God's word? The formation of this word "rapha" alone was few thousand years ago before Jesus came to fulfill the Word! There are more than this. And the more you start to "see" Him in the Word, the more there is life!

My prayer to you is that one day, you will come to a place where you are so in love with His Word and not because you need to read the Bible for the purpose of healing or whatsoever, just loving Him for who He is... And then the healing, blessing, peace, grace will just flow unnoticingly in your life...

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day, I thought I should share a little on "Beng thankful". Having a thankful heart unlock the power of God in our life.

In John 11:41-42, Jesus gave thanks to His Father and raise Lazarus for his death... Wow! Jesus did not pray for a supernatural healing power... He looked at the situation but not overwhelmed by the situation (Lazarus is death for 4 days!!!) and then He thank God for hearing Him... Next moment, He said:" Lazarus, come forth!" And Lazarus raised for his death! Short and sharp prayer... Cool!

That also say that we don't need to pray a "long" prayer when ministering healing to others.. I know the "stress" of praying for others, but prayer is not about praying an impressive prayer.... It is about Him! Even when we are not composed in our prayer, our heavenly Father know....I'll share about this another time, we'll continue to focus on personal healing first. Still got quite abit to talk about.

And in John 6:8-13, Jesus gave thanks for 5 loaves and 2 fishes and multiplied to feed 5000... If in situations of death & lack, Jesus gave thanks to His Father, how much more we , as a believer, should do likewise. We don't thank God for the problem, but we thank God He is the answer to our situations. Amen!

As you have notice by now, I've included Yubing and Angeline in the email. I am thankful to bump into Yubing recently and have her and Angeline included in this email. As much as I've benefited from this sharing, I hope they too can benefit from it.

Also, last nite, my friend, MacDonald messaged me and said that he would like to join me for service this weekend! Praise the Lord! As you might have know, he has been suffering from skin problem for many years. He has tried many ways and seen many doctors but to no avail. The last time when I met up with him, I told him this:" Do you believe that your skin problem can be healed just by eating bread?"

Of course, you know I am talking about Holy Commuion and we've talked about the importance of it before. But for him, he was puzzled with my question. Anyway, I didn't manage to convey the full message to him as he is not receptive at that moment. But, deep down in my heart, I sense the need to share this message with him. I am hoping that with his initiative of asking me to go for service, he will find his answer to his skin problem.

With that, I wish you & your family peace in the remaining days in Japan.

My favorite verse for this year -

John 14:27 (NKJV)

"27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. "

John 14:27 (Amplified)

"27 Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]"

Week 12: Healing & Health

Good morning Mdm,

Just to wrap things up for the past weeks on discussion...

Last week, we talk about activating "angels" and the biblical references. The key to this is not to worship them but to know that they are around us, as long as our focus is in Jesus.

Throughout these weeks, we're still in the topic of "Healing".. Be it physical or mental healing, we believe that Jesus Christ, our Lord had come to set us free from sickness, illness, mental torture.. If u read the gospel and His ministry on earth, a huge part of it was attributed to healing.

We've also look into the hebrew word for "healing". Amazingly, it reveal that 'healing' has to do with 'speaking and thinking of the cross'. i.e. 'to focus on the finish work of Christ on the cross.'

So far, the discussion revolves around personal, individual healing...  There's a little more to talk about in this area before go on to talk about extending your hand to heal others.

In personal healing, we talking about the importance of holy communion, taking in a worthy manner in remembrance of what Christ has done at the cross. The other two area of importance are meditating on the Word and speaking in tongues.

In view of all of us going for holiday sometime this week, I'll touch on the topic on meditating on His Word.

Let's look at Proverbs 4:20-23

20 My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.

21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;

22 For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.

23 Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.

Note verse 22 says: " the Word become life to those who find them...." Find them.. that mean you need to find or search them. All the Words in the bible are from God but not all benefit us...
What do I mean by that?

eg... Let say now I wrote you this email. Apart from you, as you can see , it is CC to Siu Ching & Akiko. All of them benefited from my sharing besides you. However, if for example, I were to say :" Sis, you should stop driving recklessly on the road..." This statement would not apply to Siu Ching or Akiko since they do not drive on the road...

Likewise, we need to filter out those Word that apply to us.  The key to this is to focus on God's promises and the New convenant promises. How do we know if we are focusing the right Words? The verse say " they are LIFE to those who find them!" Ask yourself if you feel "alive" or edified after reading that particular verse??

Note the verse continue with "And health to all their flesh"

The word "health" in Hebrew is "marphe" (Pronoun : mah-pey) מרפא

Remember the word "heal" in Hebrew "Rapha"  רפא

Note the similarity between "health" & "heal" in Hebrew... health has to do with healing and both come from the root word in Hebrew "Raphah" (Pronoun:  Rah- Far -Hey)

This Hebrew word "Raphah" mean "relax".

Ahhh... Health has to do with healing (speaking thinking of the cross) and has to do with "relax".

That make perfect sense in natural, isn't it? Why do we go holiday?? Relax, of course... And usually we feel refresh after coming back from holiday.

In the same manner, reading and meditating on the bible verse has the effect of healing/relaxing your body. Yes! your body. The verse says:" health to ALL their FLESH!" Flesh mean your physical body, not just spiritual being.

The bible in essence is a medication. Reading the bible can keep one in good health not just spiritually, but also physically. Research shows that out of those healthy people around, 20-30% of them actually goes to church.

Have a look at this:

http://www.webmd.com/balance/features/spirituality-may-help-people-live-longer

As such, I would encourage you to meditate on God's word (Remember those sermons on meditate on God's word) Pick one or two verses and start "chewing" on them.... Slowly bit by bit... Don't have to rush through the entire bible. For the "healing" effect comes when the "nutrition" of the Word is fully absorb by the body. Amen!

I hope you and your family will have a wonderful holiday in Japan... Without a doubt, as much as I embrace "rest' & "relax" and will definitely enjoy ourselves in Chiang Mai.

Lastly, I shall leave you with this verse to meditate

2Cor 13:14

" The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen."

God bless, have a fruitful & blessed trip!

Week 11: Angels all around

Good day Mdm...

Just to recap on last week, we talk about Holy Communion and emphasized the need to partake these elements worthily...knowing deep in our heart that Jesus, his body is broken for us and His blood is shed for our sins. I'm glad to hear that 2nd sis-in-law is making effort to do this daily.

Note that in our Lord's prayer... the Holy communion is mentioned as well..." ...give us our daily bread (Jesus) and forgive us of our sin (blood), as we forgive those who sin against us..." I would encourage you to do this as often as you can but DO NOT MAKE it out of a ritual... then, it become a law and not grace.

This week, I felt prompted to put aside on the topic of "healing" for a moment. I felt led to address the current issue revolving in our family recently. The past few days has set me thinking, with a burden in my heart. The threat and disturbance by Sis-in-law 's son has put much unrest in some of us. I must agree with you the threat is real and can be unpredictable. The outcome to some extent can be very serious.

As much as this unrest has taken foot hold of our anxieties and worries, I was crying out to God on what should we do. God led me to this passage in Psalm 91. Please spend some time to read and meditate on this passage.

I'll talk a little more after you've read and re-read and meditate on this passage.

Week 10: Healing Thru Holy Communion

Good morning Mdm,

Just a recap from last week, we are still in the topic of healing. We said that as Christian, we should be walking in health as a body of Christ.

And then, we talked about how we can walk in good health.. In short, praying in tongues, taking holy communion and meditate on His word.

Today, I'll share on the topic of holy communion... Let's look at 1 Corithians 11:23

"23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;

24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

Here, we are reminded that when we partake the bread, we remember our Lord, Jesus. So, the question is... what is the big deal?? It's just bread, what can a bread do to our body?? By the way, this is human reasoning...If we see things in a "natural" eyes, we reason "naturally".

Ok, then let's reason together... Let's go to Genesis 3

1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;

3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’”

4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.

5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

What happen here? Mankind fall into sin because of one person, Adam. Whether we like it or not, we are sinners the moment we are born into this world because of Adam. Hey, that's is unfair! " I've been doing good, I don't lie, I don't steal. I help the poor....etc How can I be called a sinner?? Well, if I "meow" 3 times now, does it make me a cat?? No... likewise, no matter what I do or don't do, I am a sinner because of Adam. The world has fallen by one man and one act - EAT. Agree?

Why is it so wrong to open our eyes to knowing good & evil? What's wrong with that? That's the problem. We start to take matter into our own hand.. My good may not be good in your eyes, your evil may not be evil in my eyes... We start to judge and condemn in our own limited knowledge of good & evil. We play "God".

Question: If  today, I know I am going to heaven, what would I do in the very moment with my life? What would you do? Can I say that you would do what is most important to you? example, spending time with family member. Giving your best and leaving your best behind?

What did Jesus do when he knew it was about time for Him to die? (let's be clear here, Jesus died as a man, not God. God can never die) He spent time with his disciple and they had holy communion. Do you think this is important? I think so. Ok, you may say that "Well, as much as He knew about His death, He knew about His resurrection... So what is the big deal?"

It is a big deal for all of us... What do you think He did the moment He was resurrected? Who did He met? What did He do?? In Luk 24:13-29, it is mentioned Jesus appear in the midst of a couple (not His disciple). Why? Let's go on... They were walking back from Jerusalem to Emmaus, about 7miles... On the way, they were talking about Jesus, the crucifixion.. the talk of the town... They didn't knew the Person with them was Jesus. When they reached home, they invited Him to stay....

Now, look at verse 30 "When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within uswhile he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

Notice, Jesus took the bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave to the couple. What happen after that? Their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus!

I'm not sure if you are seeing the beauty of this Scriptures... Let's recap.. In Genesis, we read that man fall when Satan offered Eve &  Adam to eat the tree of knowledge of good & evil. A couple ate and their eyes were open to good & evil. Sin came into this world.

God restored this entire downfall by having Jesus to offer the couple same thing through eating the bread, the bread of life! And their eyes
were opened to see Jesus (the truth, the way, the life)! Praise the Lord!

Now, earlier we said that through one man's sin (Adam), we became sinners.... but by the grace of one man (Jesus) we are made righteous! Amen!

See Roman 5:18 -19

18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.

19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man, the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

Are you seeing the wisdom & beauty of God's plan now??

Ok, the key here is to focus on Jesus and His finished work. The last thing Jesus did before He goes to the cross was He broke the bread and gave to His disciple saying that "This is my body, broken for you. Take this in remembrance of Me." .After He is resurrected again, the first thing He did was to break the bread and gave to this couple (not His 11 disciples). What does that tell you?? The holy communion is not just for His disciple alone, it's for everybody! Are you seeing the importance of holy communion? Taking it in rememberance of Jesus and His finished work. Once you take holy communion in this worthy manner, there is healing power!

Well, there's so much more to share on this topic alone. But, I think I should stop here to let you "eat" & "digest" this powerful truth. I'll leave you with this truth... This man of God, Smith Wiggleworth (a plumber, not a doctor) who had documented 10 records of raising death people... He took holy communion everyday.

A security guard (not a doctor; one thing for sure, God doesn't care your professional when it comes to miracle) of New Creation church... His mother was declared death in hospital. The security guard requested the doctor not to take away the breathing appartus attached to his mother and requested for more time with his death mother. The doctor agreed only on the condition for a maximum of 3 days since the patient was already death and it will be awful to keep the body for too long. The security guard then brought his relatives (Christians) to the ICU and they had communion next to his mother. His mother is resurrected in Jesus name!!! And of course, subsequently discharged from hospital! Amazing Grace!

Shalom!

Week 9: Healing

Good day madam!

Just to continue on the topic of "healing".... Last week, we looked at the Hebrew characters of the word "Heal" or "RAPHA" in Hebrew and its pictorial meaning.

Basically, it is broken down to 3 character "think, speak, sacrifice." This is interpreted as"think and speak on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, our Lord."

This is a POWERFUL truth! Meditate on this. While we are not despising the work of doctors & the medical research (they are on the same side with us against disease & sickness), it is in the heart of our Creator that we are free from sickness and disease!

Think about it this way,the Bible says in , 1 Corinthians 12:27 "Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually."

We are the body of Christ. Each one of us and together we formed the Church. If we are in Him, and He is in us, we can't be walking in sickness all the days of our life! How could we?Can you imagine a church formed with many sickness people? How does that glorified our God who created the heaven & earth ? Are we saying that He is not capable of treating these dieases despite His ability to create the entire universe?? Not making sense, does it? When Jesus was resurrected and raised to heaven, He did not say:" Bye bye ,everyone, good luck .. all the best.. see you in heaven!" He said in John 16:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you."

Let's look at who is the receiver of healing in the bible? If you read the gospels, you will notice that the disciples do not come to Jesus for healing. The healing were largely extended to people who are not His disciples Therefore, in the same likeness, we as Christians should be walking in good health and going out to heal the sick . As a body of Christ, as He is, so are we. Is Jesus sickly or feel sick during His ministry on earth?? Or is He in excellent health? As He is, so are we! We are in one body of Christ!

Of course, I'm not saying we should reframe from seeing doctors... As much as doctors are on our side, let's deal with the root of the problem. Let's deal with the root in Jesus's name.

Remember the sermon on "The root of the problem is condemnation."

In John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Note the following verse, verse 17" For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." Every condemnation can be redeemed through Christ. In other words, every unforgiveness of oneself or others can be released through the power by proclaiming the name of Jesus! Amen!

So how do we do this? How are we able to walk in good health as a body of Christ? Well, simply speaking in tongue & Holy communion.

Will share more on this topic next week.

Shalom!

Week 8: A little Hebrew on "Heal"

Good day Mdm!

Since these few weeks, we will be focusing on "Healing".. I'll try to share a little here and there on this subject.

Note that when Jesus came to this world, majority of his ministry involved in healing. Wherever he went, there were healing taking place. Notice also if you read the gospel, you will never come across at any point that any death mentioned in the presence of Jesus, even dead people like Lazarus was raised from his death when Jesus came to his presence!

So, it is in the heart of our Lord Jesus to bring healing during his time here on earth. Therefore, it should also be in our heart to bring healing to others and we, ourselves as Christians should be free from sickness and diease at all time, if not most of the time. Why do I say that??   Interestingly, the word"heal" revealed a very interesting meaning in hebrew... Let's take a look..

The word "heal" is known as "rapha" in hebrew.  (Pronounce as Rah-Fah)

Original Word: רָפָא

It is written in 3 hebrew characters. In hebrew, the characters are read from right to left. And every character has a pictoral meaning.

The first characterרָ

represent a "head" which has the meaning of "think"

The second character פָ

represent "mouth" which has the meaning of "speak"

The third character א

represent "ox" which has the meaning of "strong" or "sacrifice"

So, if you assemble these three character together , you get " think, speak, sacrifice"

In the olden days, ox were used as sacrifice for sin offering. Today, our Lord has replaced this ritual by going to the cross. He is our sacrificial Lamb!

So, in essence... the word "heal" has to do with "thinking  and speaking of our Lord sacrifice!" Amen!

If you remember, I told you before about my sleeping disorder (the cause of it due to stress or in spiritual term "oppression")... After 40 over years, when I started to proclaim the name of Jesus, I was healed of this "sickness".

I can't stress enough how important it is that we keep thinking and speaking about this new covenant of Jesus. The covenant of Grace, it is unearned, unmerited favor of God! Praise the Lord!

The bible say " By one man sin (referring to Adam) we become sinners and by one man sacrifice (Jesus), we are made righteous!" If we can come before our God as sinners, how much more we should come before Him as being righteous! Only then, we can say that the work of Jesus on the cross is greater than the sin Adam commited in the garden of Eden. Jesus has paid the price, we are now righteous in the eye of God! We can now claim our healing in Jesus's name because Jesus has paid for it! Amen!

I hope you are blessed by this sharing...

Shalom!

Week 7

Hello Mdm,

Managed to hear the "Cent & Sensitivity".  The "Church" & "Prosperity Gospel" not able to access..

Just a quick comments on the above ... The bible say:" Take heed what you say and how you say it."

I asked myself a few questions after hearing his message:" Is he gracious (grace) in his speech?" "Is he self-exalting/ self-rigtheous?" "Is he pointing out others fault more than his own?"

At the beginning of his speech, I sensed "pride" when he asked for a respond in greeting. Then, I sensed him exalting himself when he talk about visiting mental institute. And finally, sensed his self-righteousness when he talk about giving seats to the needy one.

This is just my personal view, hope it can be of a reference for you.

Now, back to focus... This few weeks... listening to Pastor Prince sermons on "healing", "holy communion", "tongue" & "peace or shalom"....

In his 3.5 years on earth, the ministry of  Jesus has alot to do with healing & deliverance...  since we're looking to do mission trip, I thought it will be appropriate to share with you the knowledge in this area.

Don't be bothered by praying long prayer.. pray for sick is about healing, not impressive prayer, it's about thirstying for God to work His miracles thru you.

We'll talk abit more in weeks to come on this area... meantime, enjoy the sermons and be blessed!

Shalom!

Week 6

Hello Mdm,

After a 2 weeks break, I believe your faith in the Lord has just lifted to a new level. Praise the Lord! Likewise, I'm also experiencing the same. I do experience favor in my work place recently. Strangely, when I first joined this company, I told myself that I was very much determined to leave as soon as I can. But God has other opinion about it. His thoughts are always higher than our thoughts. He encouraged me through dream & His Spirit. Slowly but surely, He started to unveil His favor upon me. I'm humbled & touched by His provision.

I can't tell you how much I'm in love with Him.... only by His grace and His unfailingly love.  What a God we serve.... and yet He come not to be served, but to serve...

And so,  I borely say:" Let us all be filled (take as much as we can), that we can give as much as we can... Let us all be full of His grace, that we can be gracious to one another... Only when we are filled richly in His power, that we take dominion over our situations."

God bless! Have a great week ahead!

Week 5 Supplement

Yo Mdm,

Good day to you!

Just to be sure the message is crystal clear about focusing on Jesus. Please see Pastor Prince message below.

This is something I want to share and really hope you could come to this revelation.

Eversince his teaching on grace, I begin to embrace "grace". Grace is a person. Grace is Jesus Christ. Think of what He has done for us on the cross!

Interestingly, according to the teaching, if we want to find out the significance of a particular subject in the bible, we apply the Law of First Mentioned.

For example, let's look at the word "Grace" and see when was it first mentioned in the bible. The word "Grace" is first mentioned in Gen 6:8 "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord."

Here, it says that Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Interestingly, if you translate the word"Noah" in Hebrew, it mean "rest". In other words, rest found grace!

We cannot earn grace. Grace is unmerited, undeserved favor of God. We cannot work hard for it. We cannot say that "I serve God so many years, I'll have more grace."

But, here in the bible.... it says "rest" found grace.. In other words, if we put our "rest" on Jesus, we will find grace!

Now you know why I embrace "rest".

The thing is , now that our faith is in Christ, we have tasted His goodness. We want our siblings, loved one to come to know Christ and enjoy His goodness as well. But, bringing such message across is often not easy.

That remind me of a great motivation speaker John C Maxell. He is a great motivational speaker when it come to leadership teaching. The thing is he has been a great influence even to people who are unsaved. He once said this in our church:" I've been imparting all this leadership teaching to the world and is creating an impart, great leaders are being rised. The thing is all this teaching come from the bible and yet these people are not aware!"

I totally embrace his way of spreading the gospel to the unsaved. When bringing the good news to their life is not an option, the other thing we can do is to apply the principles of God in their lives.

So having that in mind, back to the subject of "rest". If I can't preach the gospel to the people around me, I hope I can apply God's principle in their lives. Just like going to JB for shopping/eating. Rest = relaxing = refreshing =grace   You know what I mean.

I don't know about you. But,  I'm finding reading bible no longer a drag. It is so interesting. I'm motivated and looking to learn Hebrew & Greek so that I can understand God's Word even deeper.

Hope you are blessed by this sharing!

God bless!

Week 5

Hello Mdm,

Hope you have a good run and rested well. Indeed, rest is the holiness thing you can do!Yes, being holy has something to do with rest. That's why when you said you intend to rest after the HK100 run, I thought it  is a good idea. Amen! The chinese saying goes:' Rest so as to walk a greater distance in life." Pastor Prince has preached a lot on the importance of "rest". I'm sure you'll be blessed listening to those sermon in which I've copied for you.

Well, the reason why I wrote this email is because I was amazed by how the spirit worked in our midst. Remember tonight in your car, when I was talking to you about focusing on Jesus and illustrating the story about Peter walking on water? After I went back home, I decided to listen to one or two sermon from Pastor Prince in youtube.

Lo & behold, the very first video I selected was this man of God preaching exactly what I was talking to you about in the car! The amazing thing is I've not heard him preach this before, even though I've been listening a lot of his sermon lately.  Of course, his revelation on this message is far more greater & deeper. Check this out:

Praise God! I believe when God allow us to see this subject mentioned twice, there is great significance in it. Do spend some time to meditate on this "Focus on Jesus"

And then, I remember I spoke about self righteousness in the car as well.... Guess what I received in the daily devotion from New Creation (see below)...... The subject on Righteousness... Coincidence? I believe it is God-incidence.

The bible say: The steps of the righteousness are ordered by the Lord. Let us continue to feed on His Word and be led by His Spirit.

Have a good week ahead!

Week 4

Good day Mdm!

So much so for bible verses to memorize. As mentioned, for now, just focus on those 4 bible verses, start to meditate on them. Go to Pastor Prince's message on Meditate to get an idea how to do it.

Below are two messages to kick start your week, short enough that it won't take too much of your time, but yet sharp enough to deliver the understanding of the importance of Christ & praying in tongues.

Week 3

Hello Mdm,

Good day to u!

Here's a preview of 2 sermons in which I've told u about where I emphasize the importance of these messages. I've actually copied those sermons and many more into SD memory card and will pass it to you on Saturday.

From now until then, I thought u should take a look at the preview of these 2 sermon I'm talking about.

The first one is"The Root Cause of Your Problem." - This is something I shared the other day. This revelation is so important especially when attending to sick people. The root of our sickness is condemnation! I know it may take a while for you to digest and understand this. I'll talk to you more about this after you watch the full sermon.

Nevertheless, in the days where you will start to exercise the authority of healing and deliverance especially to the unsaved, this sermon is the basis of identifying the root and how we can tackle the problem at its root and not at the surface. Only when the root is dealt, one can truly be set free, be it sickness, poverty mindset, curses, low self-esteem, etc.

The second one is on "Meditate God's word for Good Success." I can't stress enough the importance of meditating on God's word. But then, some time we are overwhelmed by the Bible with so many verses and wondering where to start? Good thing that you already have memorized 2 bible verses so far (I trust that you did). Here's a recap and the other 2 bible verses to memorize:

Isaiah 40:31 New International Version (NIV)

31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

John 10:10 New King James Version (NKJV)

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Philippians 4:13 New King James Version (NKJV)

13 I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.

Zechariah 4:6 New King James Version (NKJV)

6 So he answered and said to me:
“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts.

These are your "weapon". God's word are often known as the "sword". In time of trial or challenges, these are some of the verses we used in prayer or confession.. example, imagine you are doing your HK100 and u feel a little tired to move on... you can start quoting " I can do all things thru Christ who strengthen me or you can start to confess "I will soar with wings like eagle, I will run and not grow weary, I will walk and not be faint, for Jesus has come to give me life and more abundantly "

I hope you've been blessed thus far with your walk with Jesus.  He is the Alpha & Omega, the first and the last.  I urge that you continue to stay focus on Him and meditate as often as possible on His words.

God bless!

Week 1

Hello Mdm,

Good day to u!

Here's a short sermon to kick start your week. Hope it will bless your day.

Also, I've sensed in my spirit that it is about time for you to memorize some bible verses. So, for a start, I'll give you a verse every week and you try to memorize them. These verses are mostly proclamation verses, meaning verses that you can use in your daily prayer.

For example, for this week, memorize this verse:" Not by my might, nor by my power, buy by the power of Your spirit." Just memorize & meditate on this verse every day. If let say during this week, you face a challenge, during your prayer to God, try to use this verse:

This is probably how I may pray: "Lord, I lift up this situation/problem/ challenge into Your hand. I ask of Your grace & mercy to be upon this problem. For You said in Your Word:"It is not by my might nor by my power, but by the power of Your Spirit. And so, I surrender this situation into Your hand and I trust that God , You are in control and all things will fall into place according to Your will. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus name I pray, Amen!"

Ok, so that is one verse, one example. If you feel it is hard to pray a prayer like this, my suggestion is to memorize the entire prayer just like how you memorize cooking recipes. Keep doing this and you will come to a point where you will be able to pray your own prayer.

Like the saying goes: An apple a day, keep the doctor away. A verse a day/week, keep the demon away.

God bless and see you on Thurs!
