Psalm 23: The Lord is My Shepherd

Hallelujah! Thank God that we have been spending the last few weeks discussing on the subject of Holy Spirit. We talk about the Holy Spirit as the Helper, walking in the Spirit and then praying the Spirit. I believe we have cover a fair good amount of understanding this Helper and how we can tap into His Spirit. and walk the will of God in our lives This is important because God is a Spirit and in order to communicate with God, we need to be in His Spirit. Amen!

Smith Wigglesworth, who has on record raised fourteen people from the death, wrote this in his article "Gift of Tongues":

"It is a wonderful thing to pray in the Spirit and to sing in the Spirit, praying in tongues and singing in tongues as the Spirit of God gives you utterance. I never get out of bed in the morning without having communion with God in the Spirit. It is the most wonderful thing on earth. It is most lovely to be in the Spirit when you are dressing and you come out to the world and the world has no effect on you. You begin the day like that and you will be conscious of the guidance of the Spirit right through the day."

Smith Wigglesworth spent one hour every morning speaking in tongues before he started his day. Likewise, I would encourage you to pray in tongue as often as you can. It is all for the good. I have said before and it bears repeating. The very first gift that God gave to mankind right after Jesus ascended to heaven is the gift of the Holy Spirit. Will this be something useless? Never! God demonstrated His love for us by sending Jesus, His beloved Son to die on the cross for us! How can a God of such compassion, such generosity, such richness in mercy be giving us a gift that does not measure up to His stature! Never! Amen! Only when we can understand the importance of this gift, we can effectively experience the benefits of this gift.given to us Amen!

So much for the Holy Spirit. This week I was blessed by my dear brother, Chef McDonald who pointed me to a sermon preached by Dr Steve Farrar. Honestly, I have no idea who he is. Well, the good thing is we don't have to know everything when we are flowing in His Spirit. Most important is when a good message come right at our door step, we feed on it. Our souls are nourished, our understanding of His Word goes deeper, our faith in Him strengthen, our body edified, Amen!

Well, I watched his sermon on youtube.and have been blessed by his message. Interestingly, Dr Steve preached on Psalm 23, a passage which is so close in my heart. It is always good to hear what other preacher has to say on this passage, isn't it? I thought it would be good to put up his sermon  here for this week. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do..

Grace and peace be with you.
